Re: Update Incoming? - New Player Device Spotted @ Superbooth!

Another device that directly competes with at least 2 RE's. Brilliant. There’s not a single rack device Propellerhead could create that wouldn’t cover some similar ground as other REs... there will always be some overlap with stock stuff and plugins no matter what DAW you use. If you think overlapp...

Re: Drum Midi Files

Hi All! Simple question...does anyone know of any sites that contain midi files for drums for rock songs etc. I want to just be able to load them into Reason and play my guitar along with. Had a quick Google but nothing really coming up. Thanks! Why even bother with midi files? Why not just use aud...

From the very beginning, Props own RE's directly competed with 3rd party vendor RE's, so it's not shocking that something like this would eventually happen. Again.

Re: What do Propellerhead staff do at work all day?

Reason 9 gave us vocal pitch editor, VSTs, Ableton Link support, plugin delay compensation, players, audio to midi and bounce in place. Let's not pretend that's not huge. That was an alright upgrade. Reason 10 came out shortly after Reason 9.5, so it's understandable if v10 doesn't have as much new...

Re: What do Propellerhead staff do at work all day?

I imagine there's a really big room with floor-to-ceiling windows. People start turning up around 11am and sit around drinking coffee. Then someone suggests a game of Doom on the LAN and that covers things until lunch. After lunch (at about 3pm) somebody puts on an some late 90s hard-euro-trance an...

Without samples? What about without CV inputs?
Put Manticore in a combinator and you have CV control over anything you want......

Yeah, you can also invent your non-conventional arhythmic drumpatters. But I doubt anyone but you wants to listen to it.

Re: Oxygen61 - Can I Override it's pads for Kong etc.?

Oxygen pads suck, I have an Oxygen 25 myself and I would never have bought it if I had know that the pads were just mapped randomly to some keys. The pads are mapped like this: http://kb.inmusicbrands.com/media/images/oxygen_pad_notes.png More on this page: http://m-audio.com/kb/article/1673#pads_ch...

Re: Noob volume question

The problem is the dynamics. Comparing soft to loud velocities, the Grand piano is 24 dB from a velocity of 32 to 127, the Upright it 32 dB, but the Dance Piano is only 12 dB. Or to put it another way, at a velocity of 64 (playing a three note chord), here's the peak output level of each: Grand -19...

I could not agree more really. Propellerhead does not care about the program. All they care about is content. Pump as much "MOAR" into it as they can.

Cool. Anyway given the actual question of OP and the fact that audio is one of the relatively few applications where faster memory makes sense I'd still call your answer wrong - so you now know this :)
Lol. No. But hey, since you claim it, how about backing it up with some real world evidence.
