Re: Arturia Keylab 61 mkII
Hi, I've created an updated version of the Keylab MkII codec for use with Reason 12 and for future extending the list of mapped Reason rack devices. The new version (1.0.2) and future updates can be found at this Git repository: https://github.com/ciathyza/reason-keylabmkii-codec Thank you for your...

Re: WHY are you thinking of changing DAW? (if you are)
I sold my full license of Reason 10 some time ago (and recently bought it again but the intro license). The reason for selling is that I had already another two or three DAWs and it was the time (I thought) to choose only one, so I sold Live 9 Standard and Studio One 4 (beside Reason 10) and I upgra...

Re: POLL: What did May Madness 2018 bring to your Rack?
Just days before the sale I bought PX7 (it was also with 50% discount), then in the sale ... FM4 Antidote Parsec 2 Ammo 100LA Modulation Oscillator PMS-20 Analog HP/LP Filter Korde and Propulsion The most used from the list so far are (in order): Antidote, PX7 and Parsec. I love these synths (beside...

I'm also curious about the differences.sycon wrote: ↑27 May 2018Which features does it miss? Never owned a DX7 myself, but I got the impression that they made a quite faithful emulation.raccoonboy wrote: ↑27 May 2018I love the PX7. Just wish it had all of the features of the original DX7.
Great resources by the way. Thanks for sharing

Re: (Poll) If you're not on Reason 10, do you plan to upgrade for 10.1?
Yes absolutely! Especially that I'm using Reason without VST support (mostly!). In that case, Europa, Grain and Drum Sequencer (now) would be the main reason. This is what I voted. Now, if I use my VST/i plugins mainly (let's say in v9.5), then mostly it is "No"! Becuase I use Reason in the old way ...

Re: Is Europa on par with Serum...or even better?
I have Serum, Synthmaster One, ReSpire, Dune 2, Iris 2, Parsec 2, U-he synths, FM4 and a whole host of REs and Vsti. I am wondering...in a dizzy state...have we reached a synth Nirvana? Do I simply just concentrate on Europa and forget the rest? I'm p****d off learning synth after synth. I'd rather...

Re: Import MIDI files without creating a new track
Agreed, and I’m so happy you put in the feature request! I actually don’t know how to do that despite having an account on the properllerhead website where they had the old forums and advice columns from artists like Prodigy and refill makers like Peff, along with official tutorials (sucks that the...

Re: Deal of the Week: PX7 FM Synthesizer 50% off
What issues? Do you mean the lack of Bezier curves? Otherwise, parameters automation seems working fine in the sequencer. Very few of the controls were actually automatable. "were"? Do you mean it's ok now? Can you explain further or give an example? I really don't understand what do you mean.

Re: Import MIDI files without creating a new track
100% agreed. Nuendo handles MIDI better in almost every aspect, but remember that Cubase (Nuendo is the video/surround version of Cubase) has been around since at least the later 80’s when I was a kid on my dad’s Atari ST and Akai sampler...years and years of refinement, and because it started out ...

Midi files review in the browser
Like in Cubase for example. I can review Midi files and choose the instrument (loaded in a track) to play it. This is extremely useful to review Drums patterns stored as midi files (there are 3rd parties selling these like Groove Monkee and they include Reason drums kits mappings as well). The only ...

Re: Import MIDI files without creating a new track
I wish there is a 'review' for midi files in the browser. The best DAW that can handle this is Cubase as it can review the midi file by choosing the track from a down arrow list. Not only that, but it has the option to listen to the original midi file tempo or the host tempo. Very useful especially ...

Re: Deal of the Week: PX7 FM Synthesizer 50% off
Yes I agree that the tutorial has just scratched the surface. It gives you the impression that the tutor didn't prepare his tutorial before hand. Also, there are many essential things have being left, but even with that I think it gives a good overall info about the original DX7 and how it works (an...

Re: Deal of the Week: PX7 FM Synthesizer 50% off
FM4 has more 'round' sound and to my ears it is nicer than PX7. Reminds me a little bit of Sytrus of Image Line. Anyway, it is IMO very useful for making fast my own sounds (at least much faster than PX7) and also the GUI is a little bit bigger which make it more inviting to tweak. In the end I'm g...

Re: Deal of the Week: PX7 FM Synthesizer 50% off
Worth it? I have it from a good source that FM4 will be on sale on 18th (May Madness?) and I was planning to get that, but at this price PX7 looks tempting as well. Thoughts? I have been waiting for this discount (and also for FM4 as well as I have it in my iPad and it is a great FM synth). They ar...
