Re: Dropping the Weight

The number of posts like that are increasing (not only in this forum). I’m exporting all Reason projects into Studio One now (btw, I had several crashes during the export, and after Win10 Update Reason didn’t want to start due missing Media Feature Pack - again!). It was a nice, nostalgic adventure ...

Also, it’s cool how there’s a macro editor. This synth might actually be something special :)
 Classic Propellerheads... ehm... Reason Studios! Why didn't they implemented it right from the start???

Re: WHY are you thinking of changing DAW? (if you are)

The routing. No unlimited and flexible Send/FX channels (without PDC issues). Yes, yes, it’s like the real console!! Who seriously gives a sh.. about that nowadays??

VCA/Group faders! Yes, yes, you can select multiple channels... each time?!?

Sorry if I missed it but why can't I save presets/load presets as I have e.g. with Ableton Glue, and .........

Wouldn't this be something these devices should have.
Geez, that’s a Propellerheads classic... doesn’t make sense at all why they haven‘t implemented the feature. Let’s wait for R12.

Re: 10.3 is out!

Slightly off-topic: You can’t use mix channels as sends without a delay (causing phasing) Is this supposed to be a universal thing? Because I have all my sends going to mix channels and can't hear any phasing at all since upgrading to 10.3 The more plugins you use which increase the PDC value the m...

Re: 10.3 is out!

For what it's worth: Reason user since version 4 (actually since before that, since Rebirth) I upgraded from Reason 9.5.4d5 to 10.3. So, just in terms of performace and how Reason 10.3 runs a 9.5.4d5 project I just opened my last project wich was fairly heavy with 2 instances of Arturia's Synclavie...

Re: Can't use Melodyne Editor VST in Reason 10

What’s wrong with Pitch Edit? What do you miss? you have clearly never used melodyne. it’s quality is leagues beyond reason’s native pitch edit. melodyne sounds undetectable. reason’s pitch edit is ok for some uses, but on vocals it’s not ideal unless you want an electronica sound. plus you can cha...

Re: Suggestions for 3rd party EQ and Compression?

There is also the great sounding 14:2 channel mixer EQ (compatible mode). No kidding. It’s a decent tilt/shelf type EQ. I’m still using it, although there are lots of EQs in my plugin folder.

Re: High Pass or Low Pass progression

I’m using kHs Filter for sweeps. It’s clean sounding and low on CPU. Plus, you can adjust the Q to add resonance which makes the sweeping effect more "dramatic". It’s 19 $. I highly recommend it. Do you use it on the Mix master bus for the entire song or a specific lane in the Mix ? You can use it ...

Thanks for the reply. The song I'm testing has 3 Nostromo's and a couple of Players on each instance - I'm running an 17-8700 with 16gb, so it should be able to handle this. I have tried all the audio settings options, including dropout protection and the low latency option in S1, as well as the mu...

Re: Some of the Red Rock Sound FX plugins are flawed at current state.

How did you measure it manually? Do i really have to explain you everything? See above even developer confirmed my findings. You know you can literally measure delay visually with any decent wave editor under controlled exported wav tests right? Calm down. You haven’t mentioned how you’ve done it.

Re: Some of the Red Rock Sound FX plugins are flawed at current state.

The mixer channel causes itself a delay, so don’t bother about 2 samples. A. How did you measure it? B. Filters, modulators and reverb FX are not precisely measurable. If you want a "true PDC" DAW then switch to another. Reason is very flawed in that context. Oh no...please don't do it do not derai...

Re: Did anyone else have to giggle...

I wouldn’t even use it for free. I used to own the gold bundle and ended up using the RCompressor only. And the plugin is not worth the buggy Waves Central hustle with limited support. And Waves plugins often crash when starting Reason. That’s the "Waves Central" Software. It’s also crashing Studio...

Re: Do you use limiters in the mix stage ... etc

Sure. On channels and submixes. It really depends on what you want to achieve.
A limiter is a compressor with an infinite ratio. The MClass Compressor can be used as a limiter, just set ratio to infinite ♾:1

Re: Do you use limiters in the mix stage ... etc

i don’t know of any limiters that dont report their latency, but i only use the m-class or waves or ozone. a limiter is basically a compressor with a ratio that doesn’t let any sound get past. so traditionally it’s used when mastering to cut off the sharp transients that don’t add to the perceived ...

Unless you are using products like Play or Kontakt you don't need 32gb of RAM. Make sure you remove the page file running with all of that so Windows doesn't write memory to your disk.
Ehm... you shouldn’t do that. It’s actually bad for performance and stability.
