Not sure what this adds to an already crowded field, specially at that price

Re: Reason Automation

Same in Bitwig. I was very surprised this isn't a generally implemented feature.

The fact you can change the default value of an automation in Reason at any given time is the cherry on the cake

Re: Another reason for you to hate Waves

You will again be able to get plugins as perpetual licenses, just as befor...

Re: Another reason for you to hate Waves

The only plugins worth getting are all in the ultimate bundle which would cost more than £200/year. Yeah, F that.

Unlike Soundtoys, Waves doesn't have any go-to plugins for me. Most Waves plugins I have were freebies that are now include with their essentials bundle

Re: Any M1 update news?

I would like to get hold of the M1 version as much as the next person, but I want to have a stable and reliable version of Reason even more. A botched M1 version is the last thing I want.

Re: SSL Native FlexVerb $16.01 (97% off)

I quite like it. Being the lazy git that I am, I like the fact it has an EQ, compressor and that multiplier build in. Everything in one clear interface But man, the CPU usage is painful. Anything that goes over 10% CPU usage is a big no-no in my book unless it brings something really amazing to the ...

Re: R12, 16 months on, ... how are you all finding it?

I'm good with R12, it works fine on my M1 MacBook. It's very stable. I did get Bitwig last Christmas and am liking it so far, but it equally gives me lots of appreciation for all the things Reason does really well. Like, it's shocking to see how Bitwig, unlike Reason, doesn't record undos for VSTs. ...

Re: R12, 16 months on, ... how are you all finding it?

R12 is running really smoothly for me. And I own quite a few VSTs. I guess all it takes is to have one unstable plugin and your whole experience downgrades. I had to get rid of D-16 LuSH-101 as it's an insta-crash VST

Re: SSL Native X-Saturator for $18

I have iLok and did download the installer. It just doesn't give me an option to run in trial mode on first run.

I don't like the idea of signing up for a free trial subscription. I'll end up paying because I forgot to cancel in time.

It's a user hosted image. You can see the link when quoting it. Looks like it's been removed from Dropbox.

Re: Getting rid of double VSTs in the browser?

Bitwig has the ability to only show the VST3 version of a plugin if both the VST2 and VST3 verions are available. It can still load the VST2 version if needed, it just doesn't show it in the browser

Re: How big of a feat would it be to add MPE and CLAP compability?

From what I've seen in other applications, core development takes years. To give the end users something during those years, the developers will often release lots of plugin style content.

Re: Is there a work around if third party VST parameters can't be automated?

Put the VST inside a Combinator. You will be able to access those parameters now.

For some legacy code reasons, Reason has an upper limit to how many parameters it can access, unless you use a Combinator

Anyone else on an M1 mac seeing slow wake times from Sleep? I checked and I don't have "Use multi-core audio rendering" enabled either. The best thing I got alongside my MacBook Pro M1 is the CalDigit TS3+ (they have since released...
