Re: d16's LuSH-101 on sale again.
I got it. As it's still on sale, a few quick thoughts. - I'm liking the sound design possibilities. It's not just a SH-101 emulator. It's up to eight instances of a SH-101, each with its own arpeggiator, effects and mod matrix. Instances can be assigned ranges on the keyboard or just layered. Everyt...

Re: d16's LuSH-101 on sale again.
Aw man. Sale's over. Never mind. Maybe next time.
Impressed by the demo, takes no time to get lush sounds going and the GUI is very intuitive.

Re: VST Bugs and how to report them
Be aware that if you file a bug report (as opposed to a call for help on something), you might not receive an answer right away, or at all (it is filed into a db, where it's handled by devs, and most of the time they don't know where the report comes from, as it's rewritten and prioritized by the s...

Re: VST Bugs and how to report them
Stab in the dark: do you have automation events before the start of the song? IIRC, MIDI chase happens during playback but not during rendering, which might explain what you're encountering. I would select the clip that's not rendering as expected, move it to the right by like 16 bars, and extend i...

Re: VST Bugs and how to report them
OK, scrap that. The problem still persists. Another VST, Ozone Imager, throws up the same problem. Seriously, I hope those long awaited VST optimisations will tackle this problem.

Re: How to turn off or Mute EMI ??? Midi Loop Problem!
Hello, got a Little Problem Last Night. Just connected my Roland TR-8 via USB to Reason. In preferences i turned off the Master-Keyboard functions and i was able to route the incomming Note and CC Messages „fix“ just to the EMI Lane, where i will Record the Note and CC Data. Now the Problem is i ge...

Re: VST Bugs and how to report them
Pretty much a moot point now. 10.2 seems to have solved the issue.
But I still wonder if there's a way to report bugs to Propellerheads as a non-beta tester.

VST Bugs and how to report them
So a VST I'm using, Echoboy by Soundtoys, sounds fine when editing in Reason. But when I render out the sound, it sometimes only kicks in after ten seconds or so. I have a suspicion it's correlated with automating Echoboy. Bouncing the track gets rid of the problem, so there's a workaround. But stil...

Re: RE trials
Another thing that occurred to me after I posted is that some RE have a VST version that can be tried.
Yes, there are ways around it, I get that. But I still think there's something to be said for allowing a re-trial period after say a year or so.

RE trials
When I first caught on to rack extensions, I went a bit wild downloading trial versions. Unfortunately, a lot of those trials I downloaded were wasted on my inexperience. I remember downloading every EQ or compressor and not really being able to tell the difference between them. As I'm slowly develo...

GQ-7 for surgery.
Tubetech Pultec for making things pretty.
(reading this thread makes me realise I could have gotten MP5 instead Tubetech. Would have saved me lot of money even though I got it in a sale. Live and learn I guess)

Re: help!! UPGRADED FROM REASON 4 to 10
I know where you're coming from. I remember upgrading from 3 to 7. The new SSL mixer is a bit of a shock to the system, no doubt. My advice: Don't try to reroute your existing songs to the SSL until you're really familiar with the new concepts. Fact is, for now, your old songs should still work fine...

Hi guys, does any of you have the Animus Shimmerverb manual? The Jiggery-Pokery website just gives me a 404 error when I try to download it.

Re: Locking Audio?
However I did find another solution if I understand you correctly. Select manual record on the top left hand side of the sequencer. This stops reason automatically enabling record and automation but once you enable automation yourself reason remembers so you wont have to keep doing it everytime you...

Re: Locking Audio?
a possible workaround could be to arm your audio tracks as sources and record to a new audio track. Maybe setup a template with multiple audio tracks already routed. I tested it now and you can arm the original track to only record automation and the new track to record the audio meaning you get bo...

Re: Locking Audio?
Reason seems to take a slower approach to adding common features, which can be frustrating to be sure. The good news is they typically are super solid on the features they DO add, which is important to many (myself included). :) Fair enough. I can appreciate that way of thinking. It's just so glari...

Re: Locking Audio?
I guess the deafening silence is the answer: No, it can't be done. Coming from a graphics/animation background using the likes of Photoshop and After Effects, I'm always surprised how underdeveloped certain aspects of audio software are in comparison (or at least, Reason is). Being able to lock laye...

Locking Audio?
Is there a way to lock or protect an audio track? Every time I try to record the automation of an audio track (panning, volume) Reason defaults to wiping out the audio. If I set the track to only record automation, next time I select the track, it will default back to recording both audio and automa...

Re: How hard can it be?
It doesn't look like you can download an SDK to develop your own simple little in-house RE's. Yes you can. Once you've got the SDK you can make a build that loads in Reason and does not appear in the shop. I've done this myself and used my own effects in a few tracks. All you need to do is apply. Y...

Re: How hard can it be?
I've got a bit of programming experience myself. Had the same thought as the OP and realised there's no simple way of getting in there so decided life's too short. It doesn't look like you can download an SDK to develop your own simple little in-house RE's. Shame though. It would be nice if there wa...

Re: Juno-106 Editor VST
Juno Editor by night birds evolve. It’s not a freebie, I didn’t know there were freebies around when I got it. It’s a native macOS app so feels pretty solid but not massively feature rich, rather bare bones.

Re: Juno-106 Editor VST
Raymondh may have a good point about the MIDI out requirement of the VST. I never tried it, but, it may not work because of it in Reason. If it is correct that VST's in Reason still don't support MIDI out, of course. The VST I was looking at supposedly not relying on the host’s MIDI, rather it has ...
