Re: Whether or not to by Mix Rig 3

It contains cool stuff. The probably best stuff imo is: * FET Compressor * FRG Compressor * Kratos * Leveler * Dynamite * GQ-7 * C670 Ok: * FutzBox * Polar * RP Verb * DeEsser * TSAR-1R * DR-1 * Khs Stuff (just Faturator is not that good imo) * 4Dyn * MultiBand Compressor * Gain * DCam EnvShaper Me...

Re: Complex from Propellerhead

This thing looks awesome, but I'm curious as to why the cables are on the front. I understand that it might make it easier to use, but is there a way for me to have it interconnect with all of the awesome filter, delay, etc REs I already have? If so, that would make Complex-1 a fantastic central pie...

Re: In the PSQ-1684, how can I require two squares to trigger one gate?

Would you like the moderators to delete for you? I guess a moderator could delete my post, and this post, and your post i just replied to XD Also @OP, I'm stupid, i haven't messed around with the mod matrix yet in PSQ. Basically this is all you need: Modmatrix.PNG //edit: added a gif. PSQ - AND Gat...

In the PSQ-1684, how can I require two squares to trigger one gate?

Hey all! I love my PSQ-1684, but I have not been able to figure out how to trigger a gate only when two specific squares are activated. Conversely, is there a way to have one square function to deactivate the gates on another square? I have a fair amount of other Rack Extensions, but not Elementary ...

Re: Any other CV envelope tools like Janitor?

Thank you all! This is extremely helpful. Shape looks really cool since I'd basically be able to have PSQ's gates trigger whatever envelope I want, but it's still a bit out of my price range at sale price. Lolth looks cool, I'll definitely give that a go! And maybe I'll trial Line Processor :)

Any other CV envelope tools like Janitor?

Hey all! So I've been getting accustomed to the PSQ-1684 and I especially like using its sequencer gate outputs on the Janitor envelope tool and rhythmically modulating the hell out of everything. However the Janitor seems a bit limited... any other CV envelope tools out there? I know Alien Seed has...

Re: Recording with Propellerhead's new Drum Sequencer

So it's really not possible to click "record," mess around with the patterns, and have it record in the way I heard when I played it?

Recording with Propellerhead's new Drum Sequencer

Hey all! Loving the Drum Sequencer so far, especially its polyrhymthic abilities. But I'm having a weird issue with actually recording it... When I don't press the main Play button in the DAW, but rather just the "Run" button in the Drum Sequencer, it seems to work the way I want it to... If i chang...

Just making a post to make it official (so you know it wasn't edited after the fact), I'm pretty sure the new feature is a "Mod" mode on the Note/Gate Sequencer!

Re: So you say you know Expanse?

There's now an Equalizer in the OSC section!

Edit: Wait a minute, looks like that was added in 3.0. Is it:

1. Modifications to the Harmonics section are now visible on the Waveform display
2. A "Mod" mode has been added to the Note/Gate Sequencer.

Re: Microtonality in Reason

Will I get in trouble if I bring this thread back? I was just googling about something similar and would love to know this as well. As far as I understand (which is slightly more than nothing), MicroTune can only do baroque tunings because it's limited to 12 adjustments, one for each note. As this p...

Re: Using Papen's Predator as an arpeggiator for another instrument

Did you set play mode on Predator to "Arp"? Pred.PNG Yes! I kiiiiiind of figured it out by changing some of then notes up (repeated notes it for some reason just sustains, even if I mess with the note tying settings on Predator). But as I play different notes, it seems to, bizarrely enough, sustain...

Using Papen's Predator as an arpeggiator for another instrument

Hello all! I was reading that people like to use Predator as an arpeggiator... how do I do this? This is what I've tried so far: Predator Arpeggiator Tune -> Expanse Perf CV in (Note) Predator Arpeggiator Gate -> Expanse Perf CV in (Gate) I've also silenced all oscillators in Predator. When I play a...

ReSpire's Filter Cut 1 not working

I feel like this is one of those things I'm doing stupidly wrong, but I can't for the life of me figure this out. Filter 2 seems to be working fine, but when I load Filters onto Filter 1, the Filter 1 resonance has an effect, whereas the cut does nothing. This seems to be true of any filter I load i...

What wavetable files do you recommend for Blamsoft's Expanse?

The wavetable import feature of Blamsoft's Expanse is of course a crucial feature for the synth. It's great that it's possible to import Serum wavetables, but I feel like the lack of morphing (and possibly other forms of modulation? Not sure) leave me wondering: Are there wavetable files that are de...

Simple question: What are the grey bars in the additive harmonics section of expanse?

I'm embarrassed to be asking a question that must have a super simple answer, but I couldn't figure it out by reading the manual. In the Expanse RE, what are the grey bars that seem to always be in the additive harmonics section? Are they editable? Thank you!

Re: In Nostromo, how should I be choosing from the thousands of waveforms?

Thank you for the replies, everyone! I think part of the problem is that I don't understand what the waveform categories really mean, and it's not explained in the manual. What is c64? Bit? Chip? Misc, sin, and bin?

Re: What's the lowest price you've seen for VK2?

I paid €39 and that's a total bargain. If you just want a Moog in the Rack, Legend is probably a better buy - it's easier to understand and it's easier on the CPU. VK-2's strength (besides sound!) lies in the back panel, and the flexibility, and the ability to use all its modules on their own as pa...

VK2 is the next thing I'm lusting after... I have the VK1 from purchasing it as part of the Synth Rig, and I love the powerful rawness of its sound... How low have you seen VK2 go?

Re: In Nostromo, how should I be choosing from the thousands of waveforms?

Auryn: It occurred to me that perhaps despite the numerous waveforms offered, the diversity of waveforms doesn't really encapsulate the true diversity of sounds, which probably comes from different sweeps, wavetable patterns, etc... Maybe I need to think broader and mess with it more. I agree though...

Re: In Nostromo, how should I be choosing from the thousands of waveforms?

Thank you! I didn't know about the Selection Mask menu before, that's super useful. However, when I try random spectrums, they still all tend to sound the same... about 90% of the time it produces sounds that extremely similar to the others, although sometimes I get different "rings," maybe differen...
