Re: Acapellas for Dub, Dubtechno and House

Free? Get a 14 day trial of loopcloud and use the 100 points they provide and get as many as you can? No idea if they still offer a few free ones as well that cost no points, you may search for them all. Maybe splice offers a similar deal? Idk. Anything else would be illegal as it would be taking fr...

Even better is how it records anything you play via midi without you ever hitting the record button. 🤯

Re: Apple M2 Studio stupidly powerful, M3 will be ridiculous

I heard they may go straight to M4 and possibly announce it at WWDC. Reason? Credible leakers showed a pic of an M4 without any die interconnects. They may ditch the efficiency cores that are not needed on the desktop version and use the extra real estate for more power in the Mac Studio M4. Hopefu...

Re: Arturia Announcement Today April 9 6pm CEST/12 noon EST

So they did what some of us wish reason did. Put all their instruments on a standalone hardware unit. Imagine having all your patches like this to play with your other hardware without the computer, and every new patch you create on reason being easily transferred to the hardware... Monster combinat...

Re: Has it ever been shared why they focused on just the rack vs. the full DAW?

Haven't tried this but, can you not run reason standalone at the same time as live, synced via Ableton link? That way you get the reason sequencer and live just like you did with rewire. Then the bounce menu to import the audio into live and keep rocking with it. 🤔 Should work, no?

Re: Apple M2 Studio stupidly powerful, M3 will be ridiculous

Reason ONLY utilizes performance cores on Mac. Maybe it use the same story on windows?
Reaper does utilize all cores.

This in case you didn't know. Keep on testing.

Re: Apple M2 Studio stupidly powerful, M3 will be ridiculous

He is not wrong, chi individual, because the issue is the number and type of cores available. Whereas before the pro chips were add good as the max sans the GPU, they used to be the winning chip for audio and a Mac mini would be sufficient for most audio tasks. But apple changed strategy and slowly ...

Re: STREAMDECK USERS? Sharing is caring.

Happy to help with any questions! Hey Selig, Watched your stream. It was a very long time ago and I wonder if you've settled on a workflow that fits your needs? How much has it changed since? I'm still pretty new to it, and at the moment feel they the best use for this device is to launch apps and ...

Re: STREAMDECK USERS? Sharing is caring.

Yeah i have already done a rename folder for tracks and groups that works wonderfully! Please tell me more about the color picking, though; can this be done to individual clips as well? the color assignment is done with a Max 4 Live device called TBT Track Organizer—you can find it on gumroad for l...

Re: STREAMDECK USERS? Sharing is caring.

Additionally, there is a perpetual license as well which costs I think 49. But I'm not interested in paying for any of it cause i don't want my phone screen on all day. Would be different if I had an old phone or a tablet. But even then the 6 buttons would be enough as an extra set of buttons to the...

Re: STREAMDECK USERS? Sharing is caring.

for that matter, the stream deck mobile app gives you 6 buttons and I think unlimited profiles/pages all for free, so... Hmmm... there's a free trial, but subsequently, you pay at least $25 annually for Elgato Mobile, at least on Android. Touch Portal is about half that price once for a perpetual l...

Re: STREAMDECK USERS? Sharing is caring.

Thanks. Don't have a tablet though. And the free version is pretty limited (you are limited to a grid of 4×2 (2×4) and you can create only one extra page extra to extend your buttons.) I also don't like the idea of having my phone screen on all day every day which is why I'm looking into the stream...

Re: STREAMDECK USERS? Sharing is caring.

I use a Stream Deck+ (the one with knobs) to control Cubase and a bit of Live. it’s awesome for hotkeys/shortcuts, and lets you stack multiples into simple macros—for example, I can have Stream Deck rename, enter the name, and trigger a track color Max 4 Live device in Ableton, with one button. it’...

Re: STREAMDECK USERS? Sharing is caring.

I'm thinking of getting one, but not sure which one to get. Be sure to look at Touch Portal as well. You can have a lot more buttons, and also sliders. Runs on a tablet, but most people have one. I made a Reason template, it is available here on the forum: https://forum.reasontalk.com/viewtopic.php...

I'm thinking of getting one, but not sure which one to get. I've already begun mapping my profiles, reason is the only one I've not yet mapped, and I presume i will only do favorites on it. I'm a sucker for these things that speed up your workflow. I already got something similar going on with my pe...

So it seems that the vst3 does appear to require a license to host: https://steinbergmedia.github.io/vst3_dev_portal/pages/FAQ/Licensing.html#:~:text=You%20can%20distribute%20your%20VST,Proprietary%20Steinberg%20VST%203%22%20license. Yes you need a license to host vst. It's understood that future releases won't be able to host vst2 because of this.

Re: Is Behringer Neutron the closest to Subtractor?

You could hear the tones and character of the synth there at its dirtiest, so if you dig , you won’t be disappointed. I think for the price it is a great synth, and in better hands than mine it is probably very useful!

Re: Is Behringer Neutron the closest to Subtractor?

I've only ever used the input to process drums. Depending on the music style and Sonic aesthetic you're after, it may or may not work for you. I personally mainly only ever use it for bass, bypassing entirely the drive and the delay. I find the character of the neutron would be more suited for dirt...
