Re: Simple Tuner RE?
Ah, in that case I do not know, but there seems to be some suggestions in that thread.

I know I've a seen combinator like that, but do not remember where. Think it was done by reasonistas, but I am not sure.

Re: Do you RE subscribers get any music done?
(...) I rarely need more than a couple of days with a new RE to decide whether I want it or not, sometimes it's within the first 20 minutes. To me it's a very intuitive thing. Does it feel right?(...) I'm actually a little surprised that 30 days isn't enough for people to make up their mind, even w...

Re: Do you RE subscribers get any music done?
Once people see that the subscription model is basically extended paid demos That is kinda the point, isn't it? Due to a busy schedule I find the 30 day trial a little stressful, it is nice to be able to check out stuff without a time limit breathing down my neck. I stay within the $9 tier, only su...

Re: Propellerhead Releases Reason 10
The velocity is important to the "feel" a player adds to the music that's being recorded, that's why people want to keep the original values. If you also want to see the bass part while editing, muting would make this a little easier. That said, I never thought of my method of doing this as a workar...

Re: Propellerhead Releases Reason 10
I'd already thought of that. However, this then defeats the purpose of being able to see both lots of notes in the same clip so you can work out the patterns in relation to each other, as you need to be able to see both patterns at the same time within the same clip. There's only 2 ways you can ach...

Re: Propellerhead Releases Reason 10
When you're trying to work out a piano / synth melody in the midi editor for instance and you need to just mute the bass part (of the same clip) so you can focus on what the upper notes are doing (as you're not quite getting the melody relationship of the upper notes and bass notes quite right). A ...

Re: Deferred download of Humana, Drum Supply etc
In Reason, press the Windows menu (I think) and then "manage content", then download. Then wait.
Also, you can play with Europa and Grain while downloading the additional content.

Re: Propellerhead Releases Reason 10
Correct - major version updates can be installed along side previous versions. (...) If you don't, feel free to uninstall it. Thanks! I think I'll delete it then. It seems all the older versions are still avaliable for download from props, so if some future collaberation project requires an older v...

Re: Propellerhead Releases Reason 10
What is best practise in regards to older installations? Just delete and move on? As I understand it, the update doesn't actually update but rather installs itself alongside older versions?

Oh, I meant songs to test if your system is up to snuff with just vanilla yet complex reason projects, not something to compare with other DAWs.

Re: Reversing a note
NN-XT has a "reverse sample" button, so you could just sample all the bounced notes into that and automate the "reverse sample" button. I just tried this, but it seems like it's not possible to automate the "play mode" button. Could not find a "reverse sample" button other than the one in the "Edit...

Re: Reversing a note
Alternatively, reverse all the bounced audio, then cut it up into separate note samples, then load those into a sampler. Then you have a separate midi sampler instrument full of reverse notes ready to play whenever and wherever you like - a bit more fiddly, but more freeform in the long run. Thanks...

Reversing a note
https://youtu.be/x30VEoZhzZ4 In the above clip, I have reversed the second note in the 3rd and 4th bar using the bounce feature. I am trying to find another way to do this as I find this solution not very flexible. This seem like a thing that could easily be done with the upcoming grain synth or sim...

Re: Reason 10 announced!
This summer I upgraded Reason 6 after not using it for years. Wow! It's been an amazing few months. Never used REs or VSTs before, and in addition they've added so many effects and utilities that I am a bit overwhelmed. Most of my time is spent reading, watching tutorials and trying stuff out, not r...
