Re: High resolution Reason is here!

cached during istallation. You don't "cache during installation". That defeats the whole purpose of caching. Whatever. Preloaded, preinstalled then. Devices should load quick as in previous versions. If I do not use and go above 100% there is no need for me to download or store high resolution grap...

Re: High resolution Reason is here!

RS need to rethink their aproach as for 100% zoom there should be no loading time present. Graphic assets for 100% zoom should be build in, like default ones in previous versions, maybe preloaded or cached during istallation. Only zooming above or below 100% should trigger reloading and caching of n...

Re: High resolution Reason is here!

This is not release ready. Early access that's fair but shuld be called public beta instead. It's laggy as hell, slow to load patches, very RAM heavy - this is in no way Reason I know off. Reason was always quick (apart from search), had this robust stable feeling. This early access version 12 is wo...

Re: Is there a Reason user "personality"?

Reason always attracted me because of few aspects no other software had: 1. One window with all devices - no floating bullshit 2. Stability - anyone remembers PH apparel with labels "Bug free software"? 3. Possibilities. 4. Community Over the years I noticed several type of "personalities" associate...

Re: The Combinator v2 Thread

I've made a few lengthy posts about the issue with those 8 knobs and 8 sliders on your midi controller and the disconnect with what they control across 400ish rack extensions and devices. It's going to be much, much worse with the new combinator. Ideally they'd add a pop up window for the remotable...

Re: Izotope & NI - give away two plugins

NI are great in this regard. Few gifts later and I collected all three Play instruments: Ethereal Earth, Analog Dreams and now Hybrid Keys. Through the years they gave away for free some good stuff like Raum, Replika, TRK-01 Play. You also get load of software included when purchasing their HW solut...

Re: Reason 12 is coming!

Finally Combinator gets proper treatment  (...) M1 development machines have been available since last August, so I think it's reasonable to expect a new full version release this September to be truly up-to-to-date with what will soon be the only type of Apple processors available. Don't you ...

Re: The R2R group announces they have cracked Reason 11

This will bring more people to Reason. It is a double edged sword, but if Reason can get more popular I'm ok with it. Stealing is bad, but getting more users will mean more success in the long run. IDK. Up to version 5, Reason was and probably still is available all around the web space. Still ther...

I would love to have ability to MIDI map the selection of each separate device, like it is done in Ableton Live.

It's not hard to create Remote maps or Codecs. Here are some articles that can help. https://www.reasonstudios.com/blog/control-remote https://www.soundonsound.com/techniques/hacking-remote-files-reason I would also suggest to download Remote SDK directly from RS: https://developer.reasonstudios.com...

Re: Some Matrix love...

It's still the best option for me in terms of randomisation. Just select Matrix in Rack, hit Cmd/Ctrl+R, hit it again if I do not like it. Quick and easy. I love it! I always pair Matrix with CV Tap and Scales & Chords Players to tame the output a little. I also always use it if I need any quantised...

Re: Saving MIDI remote assignments of VSTs in a Combinator patch?

Unfortunately Remote overdrive assignments are saved with song file and not with individual patch.
You can also make custom hardwired Remote mappings for any device you wish but for this you need to know how to create custom Remote codecs.

Did you try to trash your preferences files?
In "User > Library (hidden folder) > Preferences" there are couple of Reason related files and also se.propellerheads.reason.plist file.
Move them to bin and start Reason again.

Re: Looking for an alternative Drummachine to Mixfood Knock

Just to give you an idea why i want to have the sample selection remotable. With Drums you are likely to search alot for sounds. While for people who work mostly in the DAW it might not be an issue to switch to the Drum Machine in the Rack, select the Channel, hit the Sample button and go to the br...

Wood panels in Reason rack.

I'm not sure if this was asked ever but do you like wood panels in Reason?
I would love to have an option to switch them to plain colour (black) instead of wood. What's your opinion?

Re: Looking for an alternative Drummachine to Mixfood Knock

The only VSTi drum machine I use is Sonic Charge Microtonic. In my template I have 4 instances loaded and each instance act as 8 slot drum cell bank for one type of sound. In each I have 8 kicks, 8 claps/snares, 8 hihats/shakers and 8 percussion/cymbal. I could go further and add different sounds ac...

Re: Looking for an alternative Drummachine to KnockKock

I used Knock for the same purpose but now I just load samples to Kong and create sound switching by selecting notes via Matrix or Select CV Switch paired with CV8X4 CV Generator. When using Matrix I can have max 32 sounds to select/switch (because of 32 patterns) or 8 when using Select CV Switch. An...

Re: What are your top five devices at the moment?

1. Redrum. All individual drum sounds are nested in Combinators and triggered by a Redrum mapped to a MIDI controller. So far there isn't a Player better than Redrum. The extended Remote control is essential and most drum devices lack this. Same here. I use ReDrum with my custom Xone K1 Remote scri...

Nice! Thank you. It also comes with NKS presets/previews so useful when using Maschine or Komplete Kontrol. Anyone know the restrictions on it as compared to the full version?
