Re: "Splendiferissimo" - Classical/Orchestral piece
Thanks very much for the comments. Interesting about the trumpet. That's useful feedback. Taking another look/listen, I think a large part of the problem is that I have small gaps between many of the notes where perhaps I should have done an overlap or at least closed the gap to get more of a legato...

"Splendiferissimo" - Classical/Orchestral piece
A new classical/orchestral piece from me. The strings are e-instruments stringWERK. The woodwind is from Spitfire BBC Symphony Orchestra Discover. And somehow the "Trumpet Solo Echo" Combinator patch (starts around 02:55) seems to find its way into most of my stuff. First time I've used Ozone for ma...

Re: Reason 12 has arrived
Can the Reason Rack in Reason 12 be zoomed/scaled in Reaper so I can see the controls? That would be enough for me to upgrade.

(upbeat instrumental pop?) - "Released" - Nick Hope
As usual I don't even know what genre this is, but "upbeat instrumental pop" would be my best guess. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vdzw_KcU_TQ Lots of Reason stuff in here: Europa, Subtractor bass, Parsec, Sononics Revival synth, Redrum etc. along with NI Strummed Acoustic guitars and Battery perc...

Re: (cinematic?) Viaje - My first ever music release
Thank you everyone for the feedback  ...Of course this only one persons subjective opinion on a random forum. :D Always do what YOU feel is right for your music. That's the most important thing. I think this is the most important lesson I have learnt with this first release. I sought the ...

Re: (cinematic?) Viaje - My first ever music release
Nice. Good job. The only thing I'm not a big fan of is the drums. Just feel like the way they are played now doesn't fit the track. And they are mixed like they are in the background somewhere in another room. The song might even work better without them. The staccato strings works as a...

(cinematic?) Viaje - My first ever music release
Having toyed with Reason for years, I finally got some stuff in a more finished state. This uses a mixture of NI Kontakt instruments and Reason instruments/sounds including Radical Keys piano and Stringwerk. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=waUkqqMVPjw Constructive feedback is welcome. I don't even r...

Re: Any way to save Reason project into Reason Rack (not just via MIDI file)
It's a pity there isn't a simpler way to do this. If Reason Studios are keen to get the Reason Rack used in other DAWs, they should consider introducing some project export functionality for the major ones. e.g. "Export project to **** as Reason Racks". Have you even read what you wrote? You want R...

Re: Any way to save Reason project into Reason Rack (not just via MIDI file)
Thank you xboix. Yes, it has to be done lane by lane. And yes, it's necessary to wrap multiple Reason devices in a Combinator and and save a custom patch, then open that patch in the other DAW. In the case of Redrum, I'm finding a Combinator wrapper is required even if that's the only device on the ...

Any way to save Reason project into Reason Rack (not just via MIDI file)
Is there any way to save a Reason project in its entirety into the Reason Rack VST to use in another DAW? I can export/import via a MIDI file, but I'm finding it fiddly and time-consuming to then insert all the Reason Rack VSTs, find the instruments, effects, patches and try to replicate their setti...

OK, this was user error. I must have had something in the search field all day. I clicked the X to clear it out and now everything is hunky dory. Cheers,

Many Orkester and Factory folders are empty
Hi, I am a newbie. I had Reason 8.3 installed on my Windows system but barely used it. Yesterday I upgraded to Reason 9.5.2. I also have some extra rack extensions installed. I am finding that many patch and sample folders are empty. Here are 2 typical examples, but there are many more: 1. Orkester ...
