Re: Ok I Done It All Wrong
One of the reasons why I put that Flower Audio RE after your Selig Gain is that I use your MONO button. I've been wondering if going to mono will change your 'crest factor'. So far, it seems the same loudness either way. Do you see no change using your method with VU+PEAK? What are your thoughts on...

Re: Ok I Done It All Wrong
On the mastering side, one thing I haven't seen discussed here so far is loudness. When it comes to your song being played within a playlist of other artists on broadcast or streaming services, it's dynamic range should be within a certain range so that it won't be too loud, or too quiet. Thankfull...

Re: Wanting to get a USB ignition key, just want some clarification
...I have a laptop I want to authorize for offline use, but it's currently taken by my main desktop. So I want to keep the USB plugged into the back of my PC and just leave it there, then transfer the offline use to my laptop. That's how it works, right? Yes, this is how I run mine. I have the desk...

Re: Best practice for vocal spread
The "time honored" way is to double track (record) your vocal and pan left/right. I agree with Selig. However, if that's not possible, you can use effects like the built-in UN-16 Unison effect and setup a pan where the original is left and the effect is right. You may have to use some other tools l...

4. ...cloned Mojave back to the internal hard drive.
I think this step caused the problem. Reason was deauth for the previous version of Mojave to the drive, but when you cloned it, the system saw a change, but included the same hardware and didn't know what to do.

Try using MIDIOX to see if MIDI data from the RyTMIK drum machine is being heard by your computer.

Re: Wimpy guitar tone
As with most modeller hardware units that simulate the sound of guitar rigs, build your circuit the same way as you would with pedals and amps, only virtually. So if you plug your guitar into a distortion pedal first, and then into your amp, build that same thing in reason. I've been playing live fo...

Welcome back! You haven't provided enough information for us to help you.
1) What version of Reason are you using now?
2) What platform are you using? PC / Mac / Mobile.

Re: Any recent Win10 updates that impacted DSP performance?
I build PC's to edit video and haven't ever had trouble with thermal paste. The fans can get full of dust, so every once in a while I use an old school fire starter blower on all of the fans and components while putting a vaccum nozzle nearby. It works great. Glad you found the trouble!

Re: HELP Please! Reason 10 Microphone problem
The "no audio inputs available” message suggests that Reason doesn't see the built in analog audio interface on your motherboard, so it has nothing to do with the mic that has the 1/8" connector.

That is more of a Windows7 message. Windows 10 is trying to get away from all of that. Check to see if you are logged in as an administrator.

I love Blocks. It reminds me of using the old Alesis MMT-8 sequencer which really helped arrange songs quickly. OK that's really dating me, LOL!

Yes, hold shift as MannequinRaces replied. Also, if you hold Ctrl (on PC) and click on the parameter, it will set it to default.

Re: Will Reason support linux in the future.
If we can't get Reason Compact on Android, which has a huge base on mobile, but similarly fractured OS install base as Linux, then there are many hurdles yet to clear for a full Linux based Reason.

Dimished provided a great response above, but if that doesn't help, maybe try a sine wave bass tone you like and use a low pass filter to limit the frequencies to less than 150hz?

Re: Low MIDI keyboard input velocity
It would be helpful for this board if you would provide more information on the issue. Your subject includes the word MIDI. Is this MIDI over USB or actual MIDI port? A velocity level of about 68 suggests that it varies. If you look at each note's velocity in the sequencer, what is the lowest and hi...

Re: Figure is back
Well, that's disappointing. I didn't want to leave the Reason family, but for mobile on Android, it seems that Props has no answer. Thanks, I'll try out Caustic! check out FL studio mobile! I run it flawlessly on a 30 dollar android tablet (amazon fire 7) OK, will do when I have $15. Thank you.
