Re: Rewards!!!
Although I will probably use the Rewards to buy Umpf at some point, "Rewards" does feel more like a money grab than a reward. I think this could be a great opportunity to get customers interested in other products and developers they wouldn't normally be interested in. I feel that a better idea woul...

Re: How much have you spent on REs, refills and upgrades this year?
$270
Upgraded the Synth Rig for Expanse, Nostromo, and Respire (and PUMP!!!)!
Got both Hyrdronexius and Aquios for $70.
And spent $100 on refills.
Was able to fund $200 worth of these purchases through beat sales so only $70 out of pocket really.

Re: What features are REALLY necessary for Reason 11
Doing some sampling the other day, I realized how much I miss the slice sensitivity slider in Recycle. It would be nice if after recording a busy sample that I didn't have to manually delete a million slices. I think Reason 10 is pretty awesome as is but this would definitely improve many user's wor...

Re: Micro Pitching.
Hey, I will attempt to explain this best I can. The default pitch bend on the Dr.Rex is 7 semitones. You can change it all the way up to 24, this feature is found on the bottom of Dr. Rex next to the Slice edit mode button. The actual pitch bend wheel operates in fine detail so those 7 semitones are...

Re: Gross Beat / Halftime
Been messing around with the Murder Rhythm Cutter and am really enjoying this awesome device. Although it's not really the same as Gross Beat or Halftime, I am still happy with this product and it's possibilities and I look forward to owning in the future. I think the way it's set up makes it very ...

+1 for Audacity
It's free, looks professional, has useful tools such as clip detector and normalization, and the ability to add metadata tags such as artist, song name, and genre.

Re: Pink Noise Studio Maia Song Challenge
I'm assuming that we're only allowed to use samples that either come in the factory sound bank or in a Reason content upgrade such as the Drum and Loop supply that came with R10. Never understood this rule because the focus of the challenge should be on the synth. I feel like allowing participants t...

Re: Gross Beat / Halftime
Just wanted to add that Halftime (vst) is available for a free (unlimited time) trial on their website. The only catch is you can only have one instance open at a time and the settings are not saved when you close your project. I will be purchasing soon but this will suffice for now. Anyways, still ...

Re: PinkNoise Studio's Maia Synthesizer - in the shop!
Demoing right now. Not really a fan of the gui, kind of uninspiring to look at compared to other RE synth options in my opinion. Lot's of great features on this synth though, such as the sequencer and FX and the ability to run external audio through them. This makes it more valuable to me than just ...

Gross Beat / Halftime
Hey what's up. I was just wondering if there is an RE equivalent to FL's Gross Beat or the Halftime plugin? Haven't seen anything in the prop shop that does what these devices do but maybe I'm just not seeing it. I've been noticing more and more trap / modern hip hop producers switching to Reason la...

Re: “The patch cannot be saved because it references sounds that are self-contained in this song”
Avospht: No I have not made any edits to the actual sample. I’ve messed with the sample start knob in the oscillator section of the NN-nano as well as the decay knob however.

Thanks for the responses everyone. QVprod: I hadn't known of this setting so thanks for bringing it to my attention. I went ahead and turned the self contain setting off but it still isn't letting me save the patches unfortunately. I'ts very strange as I was able to save 2 patches (1 kong and 1 NN-1...

“The patch cannot be saved because it references sounds that are self-contained in this song”
So I’ve been getting this pop up almost every time I try to save a custom Kong kit or other device containing samples and it has been driving me mad. I’m only using samples that are already on my computer’s hard drive so how can they be self contained in the song? I don’t remember having this proble...

I bought one of their refills a week ago, got the order# along with a link but continuously got the 404 Error Page not Found every time I tried following the link. Has anyone ever gotten a hold of these guys? I've sent them several emails and haven't heard back even though their info page says they...

Re: Is there any real value in buying hardware?
In 2016 I bought my first 2 pieces of hardware after producing only on Reason for years and wanting to get away from the computer screen. I'm 26 years old so when I first started producing music, hardware wasn't really as big as it was in the 90's. I purchased an Akai MPC 2500 for $500 on craigslist...

Downloading Reason Update
So I was excited yesterday to see the new reason update become available. While in Reason it said that the update was something like 185MB. I live in a rural area so internet connection can be dodgy. Took me 3 attempts to successfully download the update but it finally was able to complete. After I ...

Re: Controlling Ensoniq ASR-X with M-Audio Axiom 49
Ok so I started with something more simple and was able to figure out how to control the track volume with my fader. Controlling Ensoniq ASR-X with M-Audio Axiom 49
Hey what's up Reasontalk. So this morning I decided to mess around with my ASR-X Pro to try and switch up my work flow a little bit. While I was setting the values of the slice points on each sample with the provided rotary encoders, I began to realize how cumbersome it is to do this in comparison w...

The 5 most useful RE's for my production are: Kuassa EVE MP5: I almost always have one of these on the master bus. It is really easy to dial in a good sound with the provided knobs. Check out some demo videos on youtube to see what I mean. This eq gets a lot of use on my drums as well, since it does...

Very interested in this RE. Gotta admire the developers who make such niche products that are extremely valuable and convenient to some of us. Trialing as we speak and probably buying soon.
