Re: Ozone 10 introduces delay
I'm sorry for all the double-posts, not sure this still offends people in 2024 or not. -Learned to insert Ozone properly -No more delay/offset at importation -Can now use Reason's precise timestamps to flag loop start/end -Loops are flawless now, clean, glorious, beautiful. To all who helped: THANK...

Re: Ozone 10 introduces delay
heya - in the screenshots you are using it as a Send>Return. This is wrong. See on the right, "Insert > To devices > From devices" - that is what you should use. Yes, I tried that as I was waiting for answer and the Ozone works just fine when I do that BUT the delay is still present when I export. ...

Re: Ozone 10 introduces delay
Starting to experiment on what people said. I now use Ozone as an insert: Untitled2.png Untitled.png It's there, I see if just fine but it does nothing. I feel like I'm SO CLOSE to understanding how this works, I just need that little nudge. heya - in the screenshots you are using it as a Send>Retu...

Re: Ozone 10 introduces delay
The only thing to be aware of when putting Ozone in the Master insert is not suggested for one and only one reason - when adding dither. When adding dither Ozone must be the last in the signal path, so no master fader after unless you keep it at unity, which also means to make sure the inserts are ...

R13 will have a feature that a few years after being installed, it suddenly deletes itself, locks all replies on social media, and hopes nobody notices.

Re: Reason Rack Standalone
With the coming demise of the VST2 plugin format, the Reason Rack would provide a very competitive platform for plug-in and effect development. No it would not. Nobody is going to develop for RE. It would be like developing mobile apps for Blackberry instead of Android. That ship sailed long ago. E...

Re: VCV Rack 2 - released
Yea, its a bit expensive. A massive Eurorack-based modular with hundreds of free modules and a VST option for $99, and you're complaining? Yeah that is absolutely nuts. 99 bucks for a true modular rack with hundreds of free modules? Just unbelievably powerful and cheap. Add 30 bucks for the VST hos...

Re: Very disappointed with Reason 12 upgrade
Hard Agree with OP. This is why I uninstalled R12 after just 10 minutes of trying it. They made the rack WORSE. How is that possible, considering the rack is supposed to be the unique selling point of Reason. They also f-ed up the look of the rack: nothing lines up cleanly, and the multiple thick bo...

Re: More effect patches with built-in effects?
You're very kind, thanks for recommending my stuff. By the way, I know that my effects are crying out for a combinator 2 makeover, especially because of the whole guitar-pedal aesthetic, but for the moment I am rather concerned about the stability and overall direction of R12, and do not think I wan...

Re: More effect patches with built-in effects?
Just seconding Ottostrom's (very kind) comment about my FX - everything in that series works with completely stock Reason 10, most of the effects even work on stock Reason 8 or 9, but I choose my sound balance and parameters very carefully to be useful and intuitive, inspired by boutique guitar peda...

Re: VCV Rack V2 Teaser
Looks great. I have been searching for a modular rack with a nice visually-based UI, that hosts VSTs, and allows me to make VST combinators that I can use across different DAWs. Voltage Modular would fit the bill, and it's already tried and tested. Hosts VSTs with ease (VST2, VST3 and AU). Yes, I l...

Dude, you had too much coffee Reason 11 is still in standard resolution.
The R11 rack still looks better than the mismatched pile-of-jenga rack in R12 though.

Re: Which build of Reason 11 is the best/fastest/least buggy?
Out of interest, is there a bullet proof set of steps that can be followed to reproduce the audio lag bug, without my having to change the buffer size up to something really high? There is a thread here with a video. It's not about the buffer size, it's about automatic delay compensation not being ...

Just looking over the release notes and apparently they fixed the recording bug, but waited until 12 to include it, so you have to pay for the bug fix. Shady as fuck if you ask me.

Re: Which build of Reason 11 is the best/fastest/least buggy?
10.4 is the most stable it seems :) If you need v11, then 11.3.9 seems to be the most stable of that version. This is the version I use but it can apparently cause the audio lagging issue - although I have never seen this happen personally and I do record plenty of audio in Reason 11; but it might ...

because it’s a f%#ing computer program you’re looking at on a 2d screen. it doesn’t need to look like a 3d piece of trash. 😆 Then why make 80% of the device look like "3D trash"? Shouldn't they re-do everything as fast, easy-to-render flat designs? That would probably be better than the weird mix t...

Yes, I've only just noticed actually that Sweeper has parameter design inconsistencies. Why is the top part "very nice!" and the bottom part, well, flat and crap? or Abl;eton looking. Sweeper.PNG Aside from making those flat elements look like they are on displays, what it does it help break up the...

Re: Which build of Reason 11 is the best/fastest/least buggy?
ok thanks for the link. If it works with my system without being buggy, I would definitely use the faster loading version if possible. R11.3.9 was SLOOOOOOW to load. Like 4 times slower than Studio 1 and more than 10 times slower than Reaper.

 You have a choice of bugs in 11 Audio recording lag or ram bug, Personally I'm running the ram bug, as it's the simplest to fix, simply save close Reason and reload the project. I'm planning a clean install and I have heard conflicting opinions about the performance, loading time, and bugginess of different point updates of Reason 11.

Re: Reason 12 has arrived
Trialed it, impressions: Rack layout is ugly. Different-width devices, gaps..it looks like a pile of Jenga now, not unified like before. Lots of thick borders and wasted space. Putting a combinator inside a mix channel gives you 3 thick borders (wooden rack border, mix channel border, combinator bor...
