What's loopback? A loopback means you can route the audio from the output back to an input. Some audio interfaces have that option built in. Stereo mix is often disabled by default.
Here's a guide to enabling it.

I know how to enable Stereo Mix as a recording device.

But how do I use it to record into Reason? That is what I want to know.

I have Stereo Mix but I am not able to select it as an input device in Reason. The install ASIO4ALL and you will be able to select it from there. NOTE in ASIO4ALL it may not be listed as Stereo Mix. I have selected ASIO4ALL as my audio card driver. Reason is not capturing any sound from YouTube.

What's loopback? On my system it's called "Stereo Mix", basically it captures what is being send out and hence you can record from it.
