Long time user here. Re-reading the manual to check some things made me remember a routing I want to try. Many years ago, I saw a tutorial where someone used a Control Room Out routing to an EQ, and then back (?), to make the Master Compressor not hit for the sub and bass (or whatever you set the EQ...
Hooked up my Electribe again, still works as it should. Will prolly post some more photos here in the coming week, bedroom studio is starting to shape up again.
Thanks for the tips folks. Gonna check out some physical stores this coming week and ask around too. Since Norway is not part of the EU, I'm always skeptical about importing stuff. It can easily get super expensive, even for relatively cheap things.
I've been thinking of investing in a hardware spring verb for a long time, but it's only recently that I've started to actually check the market for options. I've found this Vermona one which does not seem too shabby, even though it's only mono and all ins/outs are unbalanced. Gear4Music shows the p...
It's a pity Nintendo and Sega lost their leadership in the gaming world and Sony and Microsoft took over. Stealing their thunder and greedy. Sega is basically gone, but saying Nintendo has lost it is not how I see it. I haven't checked the numbers, but I think their latest consoles are still sellin...
The software is Schism Tracker, it says right there at the top in the video.
From skimming through the documentation, it seems this tracker supports MIDI out, but I doubt adfielding is triggering external gear in that song. Can't say for sure though.
Many interesting thoughts here. I agree on the general feeling of that music is becoming "dumbed down", but I think many of you are missing out on an important point. The modern pop/mainstream market is also influencing the artists themselves in a feedback loop, thus creating more desire from people...
I haven't noticed any problems with the high end, but I'm really annoyed by the fact that Soundcloud cuts off the start of all of my tracks.
I don't really use SC for releasing music though, it's more for showing other people sketches and stuff.
I've got one word for you... Trackers. This is the type of software that was used to make most of those VGM soundtracks back in the early 90s. Most of the music software in the 80s was made in-house at the different game making companies, since there was no standard in hardware or software. Short in...
I hope for a one Button Automation for this Task. Way to much erffort goes in to balancing overall loudness. Also there should be a Automation to eliminate hurting highmiddle Frequenzes and sensless Bass and Hights. KI we need you. This is entirely genre specific imo. On the automation part, iZotop...
It's not an internal menu setting. It's a button on the front panel of the MPD called "Full Level". When that button is lit, you always get max velocity. Simples and elegants, but not elephants.
Jeez... I'm dumb lol. Tried it now and it works, thanks.
So, I recently got an Akai MPD and I've been fiddling around a bit trying to set up Kong to play samples at 100% velocity, regardless of how hard you hit the pads. So far, I have been unsuccessful. I looked up the Kong section in the manual, but didn't find any info there. What I want is to load up ...
