Re: Are you upgrading to Reason 13?
What's holding me back is the upgrade price. Bring back the $129 please. I know I will eventually be upgrading to R13 but not at $200.

Re: Anyone got Kontakt 7 or Musio to show up in Reason?
Kontakt 7 works fine for me but these days I am VST3 only. No idea what Musio is ;p. Are you on Reason 11? I can only see Kontakt 6. I have Kontakt 7 Player if that makes any difference. Musio is a new platform made by Cinesamples that gives you access to all their libraries as an alternative to bu...

Anyone got Kontakt 7 or Musio to show up in Reason?
I'm on Reason 11. Kontakt 6 shows up just fine but not Kontakt 7. Also I cannot figure out where to point for Musio. I found the Musio folder in program files but no dice. Reason is also pointed at my Native Instruments stuff but no Kontakt 7. In Cubase everything shows up automatically with no prob...

Thanks @Loque! Adding a line mixer in the combi worked beautifully.

Re: Isolate Kick from EZDrummer 2 for sidechain?
absolutely doable! im on ezd 3 but im sure it's mostly the same. 1. create a new mix channel, name it Kick 2. route ezd kick out 1/2 to the new mix ch. (or whatever 1/2, 3/4, etc that you have the kick out set to in ezd mixer tab.) 3. route the parallel out (or split signal) from the bass channel t...

Is it possible to independently pan stacked instruments from within a combinator? (Reason 11)
I have a Kontakt instrument and Scenic within a combinator. They were placed together so I can play them both stacked together via keyboard. Now I would like to pan each instrument within the combinator independently so one leans more left and the other right. I'm not confident this is even possible...

Isolate Kick from EZDrummer 2 for sidechain?
Hi. I'm trying out sidechaining for the first time. I have an instance of EZDrummer 2 within a combinator where I successfully put a reverb (RV-7) on only the clap oneshot via mixer. But now I want to isolate the kick from the combinator so I can sidechain with the bass without all the rest of the p...

Re: Why is Reason Lacking in so many popular DAW lists for 3rd party products
Just a reminder, this thread is about Reason showing up on 3rd party product lists/support and being mentioned in various platforms that mention almost every other DAW. Not about comparing Reason with other DAWs or lecturing if you can make good music with it or not. Let's all agree that you as an a...

Re: Why is Reason Lacking in so many popular DAW lists for 3rd party products
Even if Reason is behind on sequencer features which just makes it different and admittedly off putting to many, that should not stop the staff at Reason Studios from reaching out and networking with 3rd party companies. Reason may not have all the bells and whistles as other DAWs but it is still p...

Re: Why is Reason Lacking in so many popular DAW lists for 3rd party products
Poll: is Reason your exclusive DAW in 2023, Yes. No. It's half and half for me these days precisely because of the topic here. The other DAW I have is Cubase 12 pro. I can just plug stuff in and it's mapped and supported. I can buy some software and see Cubase on the list of supported DAWs and find...

Re: Why is Reason Lacking in so many popular DAW lists
As more products come out I think existing ones lose popularity. If you go back to the late 90's so much stuff no longer exists or just a shell of existence. It's loyal users that keep them afloat. Cakewalk was always in front of the pack with 64 bit and Pro Tools was one of the last 32 bit only. T...

Why is Reason Lacking in so many popular DAW lists for 3rd party products
I been wondering for a long time now why when I see 3rd party products that support DAWs, Reason is rarely on the list. Get a new keyboard they list Logic, Studio One, Cubase etc. but no Reason. Join a course to learn something like Scaler 2 and see so many DAWs listed but no Reason. Many times I se...

Re: How will you know when you've acquired all the gear you need?
Maybe we are looking at GAS wrong and should embrace it as a profession feature that comes with being passionate about something. For example, as a visual artist, the only thing stopping me from pulling up to the art supply store with a 18 wheeler truck and taking everything I want is that I have to...

Re: Looking for Advice for buying first Acoustic Guitar
Put a new set on and see if it happens again. Just want to ask, just in case, have you tuned standard? I mean you’ve not tuned the strings too high? Probably just the strings. Edit: What make of strings is it you've got on the guitar? Interested. Sorry to reply so late. It's been a super busy coupl...

Re: Looking for Advice for buying first Acoustic Guitar
It's been less than 2 months and my D string broke while practicing 2 days ago. Today I was gonna replace the string but while on my computer, I heard a noise like a wire slapping my table and when I looked back, my A string is broken also without me even touching the guitar. This is supposed to be ...

Re: Reason is Amazing!
Why I love Reason: It was my first It's fun to use. I like the visual interaction of all the devices like a real rack with wires and all. Just looking at data, columns and rows context tabs is boring. They added VST support I can take it with me in Cubase or any other DAW if I wanted to. And, I will...

If I already have Chord Sequencer and know the basics of music theory, is looking into getting Scaler 2 a matter of GAS? I'm curious about this one like what features it have over Chord Sequencer but my wallet already took a beating the past week.

A Cool Rhythm Percussion Brushes Plugin- Borsta
I found this cool plugin called Borsta by Klevgrand. If you're interested in brushes this might be of interest to you. And it's on sale now for only $30 I'm imagining using it not only for laid back jazz but also as a creative rhythm music making thing. https://klevgrand.com/products/borsta?d=1 http...

Re: Looking for Advice for buying first Acoustic Guitar
Just giving an update. I got the guitar out the shop. It's gonna be a little while before I'm plucking out chords because I just found out quickly that I first have to exercise my way through a few games of twister with my left fingers. Not giving up but right now I feel disabled in my left hand whe...

Re: Soundpaint 2.0 with new Hyper Acoustic Legato (HAL) Technology
I grabbed Soundpaint a year ago I think (maybe more) and they are good people. Some nice freebies. Their libraries are very reasonably priced. But I had to see this thread right after I just ordered SWAM Saxophones and a TEControl 2 (breath Controller with bite and head inclination sensor). BTW I re...
