Re: What makes Reason a great “Idea Starter”?
What makes Reason a great “Idea Starter”? And what is the difference between a full blown DAW and a creative “idea starter”? For me it’s a great idea starter partly because of the ‘fun factor’ for sure, but I can’t really clarify it much further than that. When it comes right down to it the proof i...

Be aware - it only has vst3.
I still want to get it, since my first synth was a microKorg
and we will soon be getting vst3.. so maybe

Help with getting A/B switch working in combi 2 with a VST
**EDIT: I got it working using 1,3% as min and 2,5 % as max in the combinator with a button. **// Hi all. I am making a combi with the amp sim S-gear and so far, I have got all mappings I want done, except one. I hope someone here knows how to get it working. It is an A/B switch to select between tw...

Re: Combinator 2 and remote maps (hardware fun)
Since I doubt anyone's done it, I went through and tested to make sure all 32 knob / fader and 32 buttons are actually mapped correctly in the Remote system; they are. Thanx for the info, I was able to update my remotemap  . I was puzzled for a moment but now it is working as it should. I ...

Re: R12: The new browser is broken
Indexing is happening in the background and indexes what you've put in your locations (i.e. the browser side bar). Depending on what's there, this can take more or less time. While it's indexing we fall back to what we call "slow search", i.e. the regular old searching that doesn't use the new data...

Re: R12: The new browser is broken
Tried to search a folder with lots of .wavs and typed in Snare.. nothing happens?
Tried the same with a refill and I got results from that! So I am puzzled. Anyone know why?

Re: Not HD
Hi, you guys seem knowledgeable. Could you tell me - is there a hotkey for the application zoom? What I want to do, is change the view once in a while so that I can work on a synth in details in zoom mode, and then zoom back out so that I have the full overview of whats going one. Thanks in advance ...

Re: Is anyone still working at the 44.1khz sample rate?
Reason is great because it handles changing sample rates easily. It is pretty easy to record something at 96 and then record the same instrument again at 44 and listen back. Just saying. You might be surprised. I was really surprised since I D.I. my guitar/bass a lot. The confusion can come when yo...

Re: Is anyone still working at the 44.1khz sample rate?
Just a curious question to those who say there is no difference: Have y'all tried recording either direct via you hi-z or with a mic at 44.1 and then recording the same thing at 96? it wouldn't make any difference unless you were using a mic capable of capturing frequencies above 20khz. do you know...

Re: Is anyone still working at the 44.1khz sample rate?
After comparing the high-z with guitar and bass .. also with mics.. it is very obvious that there is indeed a difference when recording . Theory aside, something happens when the signal hits the A-D converters. Bouncing stems from the same material (as it is often done on youtube in those "is it wor...

Re: Waves GTR3, did anyone try it?
I have it, not to impressed. If do not have S-Gear from Scuffham amps, I would say get that one first. With some extra IR you can get just about any guitar sound out of that one. Highly recommended.

Re: What kind of computer do you use for reason?
Intel I7-2600K with 16 gb ram & a 120 gb ssd (remember how expensive they used to be?) for the os and a normal HD for data etc.. .. old desktop build but still runs great for my needs. Obviously, numerous ReSpire etc will halt it in its tracks. It performs better after the Reason update where Reason...

Just re-discover this RE that i hadn't used for a long while. It works very well to get a perfect low end to bass guitars. This will be a go-to for my bass playing.

Re: GHAMMY Harm / Pitch Shifter [by Turn2on]
It tracks so much better than the original whammy but I have yet to see a pitchshifter in the digital domaine that can actually create the sound of the digitech whammy. The tracking and sound of the original is pretty glitchy. For those who don't know the original pedal, listen to the Radiohead clas...

Re: Tips for Emulating Electric Guitar ?
I'm not sure if this is what you really want to do, but it is a way doing "guitar". Jan Hammer plays guitar synth great. I think perhaps a square with a fast envelope on the filter to emulate how the string has more treble when you first strike it and then mellows down on the sustain part of the env...
