Re: Reason 12 is coming!
I was going to post something long and rambly about how I feel about Reason 12 at the present time (and from what we know about it), but then I realised nobody likes a rambling downer of a post - so I'll sum it up by saying that I no longer really feel like the target audience for Reason, and that'...

Re: Midi Help!
Thank you for the help, guys. I tried in a Combinator and that didn't work either. I would have thought any midi device would control VST's in any host by now.

Midi Help!
Hey all, I bought a Behringer FCB to control some midi options while recording guitar. Reason can see it as midi in but I can only get it to control Reason functions like faders, pan, etc. I need to control the options within my Overloud THU VST. It is very simple to do in Studio One but I can't fig...

Re: RME Babyface Pro or UAD Apollo Twin USB for Windows?
Well, let me say that both interfaces are awesome and sound fantastic. That said, if I had to do it again, I would buy the RME over the Apollo Twin. If you would have said the Apollo 4x, I would say the Apollo. The reason is that the best purpose for the UAD interfaces is tracking real time for inst...

Re: RME Babyface Pro or UAD Apollo Twin USB for Windows?
Both of these audio interfaces work with any DAW. UAD’s plug-ins will use the Apollo’s DSP when you use them in Reason.
I’ve used both interfaces in Reason for years.

Re: Multi-Out From VST's in Reason Stand Alone
The most workable way to use multitimbral VSTs (like Kontakt) in Reason (sadly) is to use one individual instance of the VST for each of the instruments. Got it. Thank you! I don't how handy it would be for each sound from the VST to have its own lane. I did the same thing in Studio One and it work...

Re: Multi-Out From VST's in Reason Stand Alone
Thank you, very much! Another feature request coming soon. ****Follow Up Edit**** Ok, so now I have 8 mix channels for stereo pairs out of my VST (Miroslav Philharmonic 2). I can see each channel in the mixer but I don't get a sequencer lane for each mix channel so I can edit each midi output indivi...

Multi-Out From VST's in Reason Stand Alone
Hey all,
I have a couple of VST's that support 32 channels out but when I flip the rack, I only see 16 channels. Is there a magic button I'm missing or is that just a limitation in Reason at this time?
SIAP and thanks ahead of time!

Re: Reason updates (11.3.7 / 11.3.8) and Reason+
OK, I haven't posted in this forum much the last 5 years but I feel compelled to this evening. The subscription model doesn't bother me at all as long as perpetual licensing remains......perpetual. That said, the pricing model for subscriptions doesn't make sense to me. If the goal is to get Reason ...

Re: Nektar Panorama P1/4/6 firmware has been updated for Reason 10.4
I run Windows only... So you installed the new firmware, then installed the new drivers and maps etc. correct ? I believe I did. I extracted the files, installed the drivers, updated the firmware and ran the support file. I didn’t do anything different from when I installed everything a few weeks a...

Re: Nektar Panorama P1/4/6 firmware has been updated for Reason 10.4
Ok,
I just downloaded the files from Nektar and installed as directed. Now, Reason can't find my P6 with the automatic search. I see you guys figured it out on Mac IOS but has anyone successfully updated a Windows 10 computer?
I'm out of ideas. Thanks, ahead of time!

Re: WHY are you thinking of changing DAW? (if you are)
I left Reason for a few years while I had really young kids. I ended up getting Studio One v3.5 in 2017 specifically for the dedicated hardware support, not Reason. However, I found out that no matter how integrated the Faderport 16 is, Studio One isn’t Reason. Now, two years later, I am more creati...

Mattias,
Thank you, and your team, for all the hard work. I think this vision is going to be extremely popular.

EDIT**
Mattias,
I see Reason Rack is VST 3. Does that mean Reason 11 supports VST 3 now as well? I didn’t see any mention on the website.

Re: Apollo Twin with reason 10.4
Actually, I highly recommend UAD and Reason. Reason sees all the inputs from the Twin straight away for easy assignment where I have to go through multiple menus to set them up in other DAW's.

Re: When the SSL isn't an SSL (weird issue)
Reggie, I use SD3 on every track and every hit is a separate channel in the Reason mixer. It works perfectly. We'll get you sorted. There are good YouTube videos that show how to do it. If it is SD3, I can certainly help. First step, you have to set the drumming program to multi-out. Once you do tha...

Re: Do You Use Channel Strip Plugins?
I do. I use Console One in Reason and Studio One. Why? I like options. There isn't anything "wrong" with Reason's mixer by any means other than its lack of visual, modular, limitations. Since it isn't modular visually, meaning I can't put an API channel strip to vertically replace the SSL visual emu...

Re: Opinions on Phead's support for MIDI controllers
The lack of hardware support is why I use Studio One a lot more than I want. I really want to stay in Reason exclusively but the lack of support of the hardware I want to use has been beyond frustration. Studio One's features when married to the Faderport is what has been missing in Reason for almos...

Re: Reason 10 and Presonus Faderport 16
Harrison has already programmed the Faderport 8 and 16 to work, almost, identically as it would in Studio One. It's quite impressive. It has come down to PH not using the manpower to create the mapping for their users. Pretty sad.

Yep. As a UAD user myself, I concur. Loaded the beta with a ton of VST's per channel and not a hint of a hiccup. Looks like they conquered the beast.
Good job, Props!

Re: Finally one fader solution for Reason
There is just one problem. Mackie Control in Reason is horrible and requires many, many man hours to set up all of the features of the hardware. Believe me, I'm patiently waiting for the ultimate marriage between Reason and hardware controllers. I've had the Mackie Controller, M-Audio Project Mix IO...

Re: Can any of my fave metal albums be easily remastered?
I've gone down this path a few times. I've recorded line-in from my vinyl and tape and eq'ed some more to make it sound better to these ears. It was simply just to noodle around to see if I could bring out the mix a bit more to sound better on modern equipment. It works very well. Someday, when my k...

Re: What makes Reason so inspiring?
Timely thread. I've used Reason since 1.0. The entire concept was perfect as my brain was used to working with analog racks. Before Record, I had to use Cubase / Pro Tools to capture my guitars and always wished that Reason had audio in. After Record integrated with Reason, it was simply getting the...
