Re: Arturia Black Friday 2024
Arturia products on sale are a no-brainer. I've had the V-Collection and FX Collection for several years now and they are the best VSTs I've ever used (their easy install/authorization is a bonus). Combined with Superior Drummer, my VST GAS is 100% satisfied. With Reason's devices adding their own f...

Re: Roland TD-27KV2 with Reason? Any tips?
I recently bought an electronic kit myself and was looking at the Roland. I ended up going with the Alesis Strike Pro SE.. and I only use it with SD3 (inside of Reason).. but the one issue I had was actually within Reason. The Hi-Hat open/close "wasn't working" and it took a frustrating amount of ti...

Re: Latency: is there soemthing I am missing?
What is your sample rate and size? You never mentioned your settings and those settings are what directly affect your latency. I would never settle with nudging my tracks to fix something that should not be happening to begin with, with the correct settings applied. I have the same interface as you...

Re: Announcing Reason 13
Here it is, we just announced Reason 13! I read the blog post and the announcement and I'm excited for the new workflow features! I didn't see anything about it specifically so I have to ask: any updates to editing audio clips, like improving the weird "comp edit" mode? Having long ago switched fro...

it is between 7 and 11 seconds. And I can feel it. I will just keep nudging my tracks. What is your sample rate and size? Re: Latency: is there soemthing I am missing?
You say you have "low latency" but also say you can "still feel it".. so it must not be all that low. You also haven't said what your settings are so it's difficult to say what the specific issue is, but the first thing you should check is, obviously, your Audio settings Buffer Size. Incidentially, ...

Re: Arturia V Collection 10 is released
Slightly cheeky to release it so soon after those heavy discounts on V9. I wonder if there is a grace period or if they expect to sell those folks an upgrade! Literally every single software sale I've ever had my eyes on has been this way; They heavily discount the old version right before releasin...

Re: Reason 12 and the great outdoors
I don't see a link to whatever shamazon product you were referring to, but yeah I personally wouldn't want to work on a laptop in the great outdoors. However, I've always taken my personal laptop to work so that I could work on music on lunchbreaks in coffee shops or wherever. I've also done various...

Re: Studio Corbach gone from the Shop
Don't mean to resurrect a dead horse or stir up any drama but wanted to clarify a semi-recent conversation. It is truly disheartening when a dev won't fix bugs. Indeed it is. That seems to be more of the exception rather than the rule when it comes to REs. Pretty safe to assume, yes. I don't think...

Re: Studio Corbach gone from the Shop
Once again reaffirming my decision to scale back on any significant investments into, or reliance upon, RE's. A lesson I learned late, of course. Having been burned by purchasing several buggy and never-to-be-fixed RE's in the past (coughMcDSPcough) and seeing others disappear completely.. that real...

Re: Which Reason Devices would make it on their own
Well, they tried and failed with Europa as a VST. Outside of the small pond that is the Reason ecosystem the instruments are not so special and would struggle to stand out in a saturated market. Maybe I missed the news but what do you mean it failed? They no longer offer it as a VST? Personally I r...

Re: What did you just buy yourself?
I'm primarily a guitarist but have wanted to become at least "decent" at drums since like always (partially just because I grew tired of having to rely on other people just to make the music I want to make). I've owned a crappy acoustic kit for many years but was rarely motivated to use it because d...

Re: R12, 16 months on, ... how are you all finding it?
The sequencer is still annoyingly clunky/tedious to use. Only a handful of the recent instruments/features have been remotely interesting to me. But I still like the overall environment better than the alternatives, despite now owning Studio One 5 and Bitwig. Just wish they would focus on improving ...

Really wish they'd do a rackmount with the USB option. I don't get why so many interfaces are desktop modules or why UA only does thunderbolt only on their rackmounts.

Ah yes, the bane of my existence. Aside from some suggestions below, all I can say is I wish you the best of luck.. Re: Abandoned Rack Extensions
I want to take this opportunity to call out McDSP's RE's which are known to have bugs and which they are not fixing. That really grinds my gears. Because of my experience with McDSP, I've basically abandoned RE's in general, especially now that Arturia's FX collection exists. Allowing RE's into you...

Re: Are you taking advantage of blocks?
I use blocks for a different purpose than intended. I don't use the full feature-set, but I do find this use invaluable to my everyday work. I set up blank blocks, named and coloured for different parts of the track. This provides two benefits: * The blocks give their colour to the background of al...

Re: Re: Reason 10 & above, 2 BRUTAL "benchmark" songs included
I brought up a similar point in my post a few above yours which nobody noticed/responded to. The reason these benchmark test files are such ridiculous large monstrosities is because that's what it takes to stress a system using the ridiculously low/unusable latency of 25ms.. You pointed out one sim...
