Re: Midi 2.0
Here's a video, posted very recently, from the MIDI Association's COO, which explains it all pretty clearly, with much basic info about compatibility with MIDI 1, cables, hardware, etc., PLUS including the fact that what's still yet to happen is the development of "class-compliant" drivers for MIDI ...

Re: Plugin Alliance - most plugins $29.99
OK, because they all seem quite different from what others are posting about, I grabbed Matcha as I'm a collector of virtual guitars, and have already picked up a lot of the PA guitar amps, which to my ears are some of the best around <snip> What do you think about matcha? I'm looking for a "great"...

Re: Waves GTR3, did anyone try it?
The Waves stomp-boxes are kinda fun, but definitely replaceable with more interesting options as well (my choices are Guitar Rig and BiasFX). I never use the amp sims, nor their PRS emulations. For amp tones I much prefer the ones from Plugin Alliance (all bought during sales) ( Fuchs , Deizel , Meg...

Re: Just learned about the free Melda Plugins
I think it comes around regularly maybe once a year in the weekly revolving 50% Madness sale, but there's also at least one everything-50% sale annually, usually at BFriday; dev confirms this for this year, here: https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=138&t=550311&sid=086bc4997f06fbce3b0d7df...

Re: Just learned about the free Melda Plugins
I found this useful re Melda's freebies: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0kT7iOO_VyY&t=21s Many in the pack I don't use, but the few that I DO, are priceless to me. My fav is the MConvolutionEZ; comes with many IRs, but esp. a set of unique "Special" ones that turn it into something like the Audioma...

Re: Code Re-Use: Plugin Alliance: MEGA-SALE-20-OFF
… So my question is, what synth is highly recommended to get in this sale? So far I looked at Thorn but now bx_oberhausen have my attention. Which one is better and is there anything else worth looking at? Also, how much better if at all are the synths I mentioned compared to what we already have w...

Re: Code Re-Use: Plugin Alliance: MEGA-SALE-20-OFF
Pre-Metal, old-school guitar tones: I know that PA get a crap-ton of bad-mouthing elsewhere (KVR!), but I've always been really pleased with what I've bought there. This time, I finally decided to explore guitar-amp and stomp-box emulations, and wow, there's some unparalleled stuff there (I've been ...

One of the very few patch designers I actually buy from has three libraries for Largo, with demos, such as:

Re: is there a software that reverses all my WAV files?
Too bad about Myriad; I just opened my copy, it asked for my serial, and then spat it out because the site wasn't found. Not found because that company is no longer there. I used to love her, but it's all over now.(: Yeah they lost the license for part of the software or something like that? Really...

Re: Voltage Modular 2
One of the coolest things I've discovered with this is that you can use the aux audio outs in Voltage Modular as a pseudo-cv out... I run audio thru a Thor matrix for audio to cv conversion and it works like a charm! :puf_bigsmile: Interesting! Details please? I can't quite figure out how you're do...

Re: Reaktor ToyBox - Pianoroll and more
… Downside is you need to build your own synth, upside is when you have built it you can use it to make new patches. I've been using and loving Reaktor since way before Reason appeared, and I've NEVER built my own synth with it. There's literally over 5000 already built examples in the completely f...

Re: Reaktor ToyBox - Pianoroll and more
Yeah, I'm REALLY jazzed by this Piano Roll device, and so delighted they've made these excellent tutorial videos unlocking what could be easily overlooked capabilities it has. I think it's about the most interesting MIDI Effect I've seen, and I've been collecting them for years —and they're the main...

Re: is there a software that reverses all my WAV files?
If you have a lot of files you are probably going to want to batch process them. Something like Adobe Audition can do this or Myriad. Too bad about Myriad; I just opened my copy, it asked for my serial, and then spat it out because the site wasn't found. Not found because that company is no longer ...

Re: Favourite Waves plugins?
Believe it or not, the only ones I still use (bought Gold at least 18 years ago~) are the guitar racks/amps/stomps. They still sound great for low-distortion stuff to my boomer ears, even though I've got lots of other newer options.

Re: Players and Ableton...what am I not getting?
AUs have never sent MIDI out. That's why Apple created AU MIDI FX, but AFAIK, Logic, GB and Mainstage are the only DAWs that allow them.

Re: Reason 11.2 and Logic Pro X
Is it possible, to have one single MidiFX plugin to trigger multiple instruments? Unfortunately you can't put a MidiFX on a track stack sum channel to trigger all the other included instruments. You can do this easily in pluginguru's new device Unify . It doesn't yet offer access to Mainstage, sinc...

Re: Reason 11.2 and Logic Pro X
If I recall correctly, using Logic features only, you have to use an IAC Driver loop and their External Instrument device to record MIDI from one track to another. REALLY wish they'd bring Logic into the 21th century MIDI--wise!

Re: Reason's Arp is it any good?
That's no for me on Bluearp it might be powerful but the interface is garbage I wouldn't last 15 minutes looking at that ugly thing  Nobody exploring VST arps should overlook the free BlueArp, which in many ways is more powerful and complex than any other arp I’ve ever used. So I thought, too. ...
