I think it would be a nice feature to have a button then to enable wrap around borders as this would allow for some nice infinite patterns. Still 32 by 32 is really small to get something really interesting going on in GoL.

Here's a combi I made for NoteRepeat. It uses 3 instances of RoboticBean Euclid (as External Pattern inputs), which are controllable from the combi face. NoteRepeat's note on trigger can be turned on (via ModWheel) or automated (via LFO).
